The name Mandelbit comes from the Mandelbrot set, a mathematical structure where the same patterns repeat at different scales. The idea of depth and consistency behind that structure reflects how Mandelbit approaches engineering work: understanding systems by working closer to where complexity emerges.
from personal practice to company
Mandelbit started in 2011 as a personal consulting activity by Antonio Quartulli, focused on Wi-Fi technologies and wireless mesh networks.
The work developed through hands-on engineering projects connected to open-source systems, gradually covering a broader range of networking topics and longer-term collaborations.
As projects increased in scope and continuity, the activity evolved from an individual practice into a structured company, eventually becoming Mandelbit S.r.l.
